
ABOUT THIS COURSE
This course provides a unique opportunity to learn how to draw portraits, as well as to get acquainted with classical literature in the format of interactive Zoom lessons.
The course promises to be incredibly useful in terms of developing skills in drawing portraits.
These will be close-up and full-length portraits, people of different sexes and ages, animals, and fictional characters.
Each work is a finished masterpiece!
Participation in the course is an excellent motivation to read books that you are not familiar with, or you can familiarise yourself with the books by listening to audio versions or watching films, cartoons, performances.
This is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons, as well as understanding the personality of each book character.

We will draw characters from these books.
The course is conducted interactively, through the video call program Zoom. It consists of 9 lessons, conducted weekly from 20 July till 14 September 2023 (each Thursday). Cost: $207 for the course ($23 per lesson). Cost for the occasional attendance – $30.

ONE ADDITIONAL ZOOM LESSON
If you are in doubt about whether this format is suitable for a child,
you can try an introductory Zoom-lesson on the topic of the course for a nominal fee.
We will draw Pippi Longstocking with colored pencils on a white A4 sheet.
FOR WHOM THIS COURSE
- This course is great for older kids. The recommended age is from 8-10 to 16 years old, but since the format is family-based, this means that other family members can participate for free, without feedback. It turns out that the course is for all artists older than this age in your family, with no age limit ?
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- In this course we will learn the basics of drawing portraits.
- Children will be able to do it in different styles and different materials.
- On the course, we will also “tame” watercolor, and get quite familiar with the watercolor technique.
- Through practice, the children will master the principles of drawing human proportions, as well as draw one cat and other fictional characters.
- The topics of the lessons will captivate young artists, giving them the opportunity to feel like a real book illustrator, and the acquired skills will be an excellent tool for further independent creative activities.

- 6 sheets of A3 watercolor paper
- 2 sheets of A4 watercolor paper
- 2 sheets of thick white paper / cardboard without texture (not watercolor)
