ABOUT ART CLASSES IN STUDIO IN 2025

Welcome everyone!

I am pleased to announce that Fairy Bird Art Studio in Cleveland continues running in-house art classes through the school terms in 2025!

This page provides you with information about the groups, the schedule as well as an opportunity to register your interest using an in-built form.

The following visual arts classes are currently available in Cleveland Studio:

Beginners / Intermediate Group (from 5 y.o.)

Tuesday, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
04/02/2025 - 01/04/2025
$30 per class,
$270 for the term 1 of 2025 (9 lessons).
All materials are included in the price.
Maximum of 10 students per class.

Intermediate / Advanced Group (approx. from 10 y.o.)

Tuesday, 5:30pm - 7:00pm
04/02/2025 - 01/04/2025
$35 per class,
$315 for the term 1 of 2025 (9 lessons).
All materials are included in the price.
Maximum of 10 students per class.

The recommended age is approximate. Everything is very individual. If your child does not fit into a particular age group, please, contact me personally then and we will select the most suitable option for him/her.

Classes during the School Time

These classes will be conducted in English Language.

The school term will consist of 9 or 10 sessions (one session per week), in accordance with the QLD State School Calendar.

Students will learn the basics of drawing and painting, the basics of composition. They will develop life drawing skills and study color theory.

During each term, we will carry out many unique projects in various techniques. Some of them will take one lesson but some will take several lessons.

Each new project will provide the necessary knowledge and fundamental skills in drawing and painting, such as drawing simple and complex objects, drawing people, animals, chiaroscuro, volume, perspective, tone, color theory, etc. We will develop compositional skills, observational skills, and a sense of beauty.

Using a variety of art materials and techniques will allow students to develop confidence in various areas of the visual arts.

All necessary materials are included in the price and will be provided during the lesson.

Sometimes during lessons we use materials that are difficult to wash from clothes (for example, acrylic paint), so I do not recommend dressing in expensive and new clothes, shoes, or bringing expensive accessories. Even though there are aprons for everyone in the studio, there is a chance that clothes or shoes will get dirty.

Due to allergies of some students, the studio has a no nut policy.
