ABOUT THIS COURSE
In the mini-course “Self-Portrait in Manga Style” we will learn about what manga is, get to know with its most interesting history and what manga is now, learn the secrets of its overwhelming popularity all over the world.
We will practice drawing portraits of people in the style of manga, taking into account certain symbol and stylistic characteristics of this style.
Well, the most interesting thing is that we will try to draw our own self-portrait!
The main thing in this portrait will not even be external, but your internal resemblance to the drawn character.
Of course, looking at the result, it will be obvious to everyone in what style this portrait was created.
This is a video course in Russian language. You can start and finish it at any time convenient to you.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The course consists of several lessons.
In the first lesson (“Manga Theory”), children will learn about various aspects of such a phenomenon as manga:
– Amazing manga story
– Interesting manga facts
– Drawing Features
– Characters in manga
– Manga today
The second lesson will introduce the basics of drawing a manga style portrait. Children will learn about the proportions and features of building a portrait in this style.
In the third lesson, we will learn how to draw eyes for characters in different styles.
One thing will unite them: they will all be made in the manga style.
In the fourth lesson, we will practice drawing very diverse people in this style, consider a variety of portrait images.
In Lesson 5, children will draw their own self-portrait in such a unique style!

– 5 (or more) white plain A4 sheets
– lead pencil HB and 2B (or higher, for example, 4B, 6B, etc.)
